The GMR 404 is a 4 ft (1.22 m) open array scanner with 1.8 ° beamwidth and a range of 72 nautical miles. With this beamwidth and 4 kilowatts of power, the 404 offers outstanding clarity, precision and target definition. You also can use the 404 to avoid traffic on the water with MARPA target tracking.
Easily Connect to the Garmin Marine Network
The GMR 404 transmits data over the Garmin Marine Network, a 100 MB plug-and-play proprietary network that gives you the ability to expand your boat?s system as needed. Once connected to the network, any network-compatible Garmin chartplotter can double as your radar screen. And as an aid to locational awareness, you can overlay the GMR 404 radar image on the chartplotter’s map page. You also can split the on-screen display so you can view the map and the standard radar page simultaneously.
